The primary objective of this mission was to conduct a detailed inspection and 3D modeling of the Grand Canal Viaduct. This operation aimed to assess the structure's current condition, identify any potential anomalies or signs of deterioration, and establish a precise visual and technical database for future analytical requirements.

The inspection and 3D modeling mission for the Grand Canal Viaduct was carried out using advanced technologies, enabling a comprehensive and highly accurate structural analysis. The DJI M300 RTK drone, equipped with high-performance sensors and high-resolution cameras, captured over 20,000 photographs alongside detailed real-time imagery and video.

Utilizing photogrammetry, this data was transformed into a high-fidelity 3D model of the viaduct through specialized software. This methodology significantly mitigates the risks associated with manual inspections while facilitating access to hard-to-reach areas and enhancing the overall safety of the operations.

Drone-based inspection is further distinguished by its efficiency: it reduces intervention times, minimizes traffic disruptions, and lowers overall costs. The remarkably precise data collected is essential for reliable analysis and long-term infrastructure maintenance.

This innovative approach ensures the durability, performance, and safety of the Grand Canal Viaduct, while providing an indispensable visual and technical foundation for all future studies and inspections.
