The world of FPV (First Person View) is in constant flux, torn between the quest for ever-higher performance and the need to manage equipment costs. In this context, manufacturer Flywoo has made a major move by unveiling two new nano drones: the Firefly 20PRO 4S and the Firefly 25MINI 3S. While these two machines boast very different flight characteristics, they share a major innovation that is set to win over many pilots: the ability to use a single DJI O4 Pro video transmission module for both aircraft.
This modular approach addresses a well-known issue for FPV enthusiasts: the exorbitant cost of high-definition digital video transmission systems. By allowing the expensive DJI module to be swapped from one frame to another in just a few minutes, Flywoo offers an economical solution without compromising on image quality.
The heart of this new release lies in the ingenious design of the Firefly frames' top plates. Flywoo has developed a specific mount designed to house the DJI O4 Pro module, renowned for its 4K recording quality and exceptionally smooth video transmission.
The idea is brilliantly simple: instead of buying a video module for each drone, the pilot only needs one DJI O4 Pro. Transferring the video system from one drone to another is done by simply removing four screws. According to the manufacturer, this operation takes less than three minutes and requires no soldering, as the propulsion system remains attached to the bottom plate. This modularity allows you to switch from a cinematic flight configuration (with the 25MINI) to a machine built for speed (the 20PRO) with baffling ease.

The Firefly 25MINI 3S is positioned as the ideal choice for smooth flights and cinematic image capture. Designed to accommodate 3S LiPo batteries ranging from 550 to 1000 mAh, it prioritizes flight time and stability.
With a 1000 mAh battery, Flywoo announces an impressive flight time of up to 12 minutes. This drone, weighing 113.5 grams empty, is perfect for bringing back stunning 4K stabilized footage thanks to the DJI O4 Pro, while taking advantage of the D-Log M color profile for maximum flexibility in post-production.
On the other hand, the Firefly 20PRO 4S is aimed at pilots hungry for thrills and aggressive flights, typical of FPV racing or "bando bashing." More punchy, it accepts 4S LiPo batteries (from 550 to 700 mAh) to deliver formidable power.
Flywoo claims a top speed of up to 120 km/h (approx. 75 mph), a remarkable performance for a device of this size (113 grams without battery). The downside to this burst of energy is a reduced flight time of about 6 minutes with a 750 mAh battery. This is the perfect machine for violent acrobatic maneuvers and flying through tight spaces.
The use of these nano FPV drones falls under the strict framework of European drone regulations, which have seen major changes in recent years.
It is crucial to note that "Ready-to-Fly" (BNF) versions equipped with the DJI O4 from the factory are considered drones without class markings placed on the market after January 1st
